You’ll arrive at base camp in the village of Ayder (altitude 1,000 metres) before covering the 5,000 km2 surrounding area…
The Kackar mountain range offers you an alpine paradise. More than 400 runs with an average vertical drop of 700 to 1,200 metres have already been catalogued. The closest of which is less than 5 minutes away!
Day 1 :
First, you’ll take an international flight to Istanbul, followed by a domestic flight to Trabzon. We’ll meet you at Trabzon airport and take you by private minibus to Ayder.
A traditional welcome drink to meet the team and explain your upcoming week, followed by dinner at the hotel.
Days 2 to 5 :
On the 2nd day, after breakfast, we’ll take some time for the security briefing and equipment distribution.
The week’s kick-off begins mid-morning, as we’ll be leaving to board the boat!
The next five days we’ll be heliskiing to our heart’s content. Our objective: to maximise skiing and thoroughly enjoy the Kaçkar mountain range. With more than 5000 km2 to explore, including slopes in the immediate vicinity of our base camp, the consequential cumulative vertical drop will delight the most insatiable.
In case of bad weather, additional outdoor activities are possible, such as ski touring, rescue exercises and visits to the region’s tourist sites – Zikale castle, Sümela monastery and the towns of Rize or Batumi.
Indoors, you can relax in the thermal baths or watch a movie. Conferences are also organised.
Day 6 :
A final, big half day of heliskiing and it’ll be time to pack your bags… We’ll drive you back to Trabzon at the end of the day, where you’ll spend the night at the Novotel located 5 min. from the airport.
Day 7 :
After breakfast, departure for the airport with the hotel shuttle and return flight.
The 3 star Hasimoglu hotel, in the heart of the village of Ayder, about 2 hrs drive from Trabzon International Airport, will welcome us during our stay.
Renovated in 2016, this small, family mountain hotel has a friendly atmosphere.
Each room has its own bathroom with WC, shower, washbasin and hairdryer.
WIFI internet, minibar, telephone with direct line and satellite TV with international channels are available.
The dining room has a separate area specifically for our group. The adjacent area has a game room (billiards, table football, darts) as well as a large living room with a giant screen and fireplace.
For those who wish, there’s also a gym and massage room directly on site.
