4 clients per guide – 13 day program
Day 1 :
Today you begin your epic, arriving in Ushuaia, capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego, in Argentina.
You’ll meet your guide for a technical review of hiking and / or ski touring. In the evening, a welcome dinner is planned before your last night on dry land.
Days 2 to 12 :
On the 2nd day you’ll board the Sea Adventurer, your polar expedition ship. We’ll set our course for the 240 km long Beagle Channel.
During days 3 & 4, you’ll have the opportunity to observe great sperm whales, humpback whales and a procession of seabirds who will accompany us on this key stage via the legendary Drake Passage.
5th day, we’ll stop at Neko port, taking the opportunity to combine ski touring with a zodiac excursion and also meet penguins.
The adventure continues on the 6th day, when we explore the Antwerp and Wenke islands by ski. We’ll also take the opportunity to discover the Port Lockroy scientific base.
7th day, we’ll enjoy the spectacle of Adélie penguin colonies in their natural habitat on Mount Britannia.
8th day, we’ll stop in Paradise Bay to put on our skis but also visit the scientific research base, Brown Station.
Several beautiful ski descents await us for on the
9th day, Lemaire Canal, Mt. Scott, Mt. Demaria & Mt. Mill. We’ll also visit the Ukrainian scientific station, Vernadsky.
Day 10: new ski descents around Charlotte Bay before heading north to begin the return trip.
It’s almost the end of this incredible journey… For the last 2 days on board, we’ll head towards the Drake Passage, admiring the cliffs of Cape Horn, the southernmost point of South America.
Day 13 :
You’re back in Ushuaia, ready to disembark
Our polar expedition ship, The Sea Adventurer, measures 101 m in length and 16.2 m in breadth, accommodating up to 132 passengers.
Recently renovated, the ship’s comfortable interior includes an observation lounge, bar, promenade deck, restaurant, gym, library, 24-hr bar and cabins with individual bathrooms.
