27 May 2011
May 11th 2011, we have reached our 8th winter season in Kamchatka mountains. Briefly saying, it was one on our best winter seasons.
The changeable Kamchatka weather was extremely stable and allowed us to fly &ski 73% of the days. However, more stable weather did not make any effect on magic snow conditions of Kamchatka. The 10th of may, we still have more than 4 meters of snow on the foot of Viliuchinskiy and Kozelskiy volcanos.
More then 400 runs with a total of 37000 meters of vertical descent been skied by 10 of ours groups.
Each group made averagely of 8 runs a day, 920 meters of vertical descent per run, 37000 meters of vertical descent per week and spent 10,5 hours of flight time.
Thank you Kamchatka. We will come back soon!!!
